Alexander "Alex" Olsen was a talented younger scientist in Louisiana in the early 1900s married to a woman named Linda. Alex's assistant, Damian Ridge, was secretly in like with Linda and plotted the death of his Buddy. He tampered with Olsen's chemical substances, killing him during the explosion and dumped his entire body inside the nearby swamp.
